STAR Community Services is Seeking Your Expression of Interest
With the COVID-19 present in our community, STAR community services is doing everything to ensure that our most vulnerable clients are looked after and assist them to go on with their daily routines as much as possible. The Management team is following the directions from the Department of Health and Queensland Government to ensure that we are implementing safe practices when delivering services to our clients. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of our staff, volunteers and clients. Management has weekly meetings regarding the issue, to ensure we are up to date with information provided to us from the Department of Health https://www.health.gov.au/ & Queensland Government https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19. As the information coming out, changes from day to day, we endeavour to ensure that changes in our service delivery reflects the requirements of the Government.
How can you help
As a contingency plan, Management at STAR would like to have “pool” of volunteers who we can call on, should there be a need. Therefore, we require Expressions of interest to start collecting contact details to assist in the delivery of services.
Do You have a current blue card (Blue Card Services) OR Yellow card (Department of Communities, Disability Services & Seniors) OR Industry Authority Card? This would be an advantage. If you do not have either of these cards, we can apply for one on your behalf.
We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals in our community to assist with volunteering for STAR in various roles.
Roles available are:
- Client Contact Centre
- Administration duties
If you require further information please do not hesitate to contact Volunteering Redlands on 3086 6699 OR return email with your details and we will be in touch.
