NDIS Coordinator

STAR Community Services is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated NDIS Coordinator.  STAR Community Services LTD is a leading not-for-profit organisation providing transport, aged care, and disability support services to the elderly, frail, and those with disabilities. What you'll be doing

The purpose of the position is to manage direct services to Care Service clients under a range of funding arrangements including but not limited to NDIS funding. Services are to be Client Focussed at all times with quality outcomes for people that are achieved using a flexible, creative and collaborative approach. The role is to develop and maintain an extensive network of contacts with similar and allied groups, to include South East Queensland, and State and Federal organisations.

 What the role involves (but not limited to):

  • Manage direct services to STAR clients under NDIS and other disability funding programs.
  • Work with clients and their support networks regarding their requirements and develop Support/ Care Plans that actively support clients to reach their specified goals.
  • Maintenance of client records, statistics and information relating to service delivery in accordance with records management policies and regulatory compliance.  This includes the changing of status of clients as required (i.e. active to close).
  • Regular review of client support plans and service delivery including routine reviews or those required by changes in client need/ circumstances
  • Provide progress reports and other supporting documents in accordance with NDIS and other regulatory body requirements
  • Manage staff rosters in accordance with client preferences.
  • Manage a team of paid and volunteer staff, ensuring all appropriate supervision, performance management and professional development protocols are utilised.
  • Ensure that staff maintain accurate records of client progress against goals and that records are consistent with records management and other regulatory compliance requirements

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in a Human Services Front Line Management position and management of staff working in the field.
  • Certificate IV level qualifications or above in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in Community Service Organisations and knowledge of current requirements of NDIS.
  • Working knowledge of the NDIS.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated ability to deal with challenging and vulnerable clients with complex needs.
  • Well-developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills. Demonstrated ability with written, numeracy and computer skills to complete record keeping requirements.
