STAR Finalist in National Aged Care Awards

STAR Community Services is a proud finalist in the 2018 HESTA Aged Care Awards in the Outstanding Organisation award category. 

Winners were announced at the 2018 HESTA Aged Care Awards Dinner on 9 August 2018 at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

The HESTA Awards recognise those in the aged care sector who have made an exceptional contribution to improving the quality of life for older Australians across three Award categories —Team Innovation, Outstanding Organisation and Individual Distinction.

“We are proud to be recognised as one of the top organisations in Australia that are making an outstanding contribution to aged care in Australia. Much of the credit goes to our brilliant team- both staff and volunteers- who work tirelessly to ensure that our community’s elderly receive quality care and support to enjoy an independent lifestyle,” said Ms Patsy Wilshire, STAR General Manager.

STAR is an iconic Redlands organisation, operating in Redlands since 1996. Recognising that loneliness and social isolation can have a detrimental impact on the well-being of ageing Australians, STAR is recognised for its programs that promote social and community participation for the elderly and frail.
