International Day of People with Disability
International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is held on 3 December each year.
IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned day that is celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.
STAR Community Services was pleased to host Christmas themed IDPWD today to bring clients together with the staff and volunteers in our office who work behind the scenes to deliver our range of services. It was a wonderful opportunity for our team to get to know the people we are working for. We heard some wonderful stories today about plans for Christmas holidays, and we would like to send out a special congratulations to Daniel who passed his Learner’s Permit test just this morning.
