Volunteer Cafe Assistants 

Looking to develop hospitality skills? Or do you want to put yours to good use?

Adventist Retirement Plus, a local retirement village, is looking for volunteers to assist in their cafe in Victoria Point for one or more days a week. No experience is needed; successful volunteers will be given on-the-job training and support!

Volunteer/s hours are Monday - Friday  between 09:00 - 14:30 (hours can be negotiated) 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • applicants must be over 18 years
  • keen to learn
  • have a friendly disposition 
  • be confident talking to new people and happy to chat with elderly residents.
  • observe workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety procedures.
  • be prepared to obtain an up-to-date National Police Check 
  • current Flu Vaccination (or prepared to get + provide certificate)

DUTIES

  • welcoming and serving customers
  • taking orders
  • making drinks, including making coffee and cold drinks 
  • clearing and cleaning tables
  • barista training is offered, with a certificate on completion.

All volunteers are trained, supervised and supported.
