Volunteer Cafe Assistant
Looking to develop hospitality skills? Or do you want to put yours to good use?
Adventist Retirement Plus, a local retirement village, is looking for volunteers to assist in their cafe in Victoria Point for one or more days a week. No experience is needed; successful volunteers will be given on-the-job training and support!
Volunteer/s hours are Monday - Friday between 09:00 - 14:30 (hours can be negotiated)
REQUIREMENTS
- applicants must be over 18 years
- keen to learn
- have a friendly disposition
- be confident talking to new people and happy to chat with elderly residents.
- Observe workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety procedures.
- be prepared to obtain an up-to-date National Police Check
- must have both COVID-19 vaccinations (or prepared to get + provide certificate)
- current Flu Vaccination (or prepared to get + provide certificate)
DUTIES
- welcoming and serving customers
- taking orders
- making drinks, including making coffee and cold drinks
- clearing and cleaning tables
- Barista training is offered, with a certificate of completion on completion.
All volunteers are trained, supervised and supported.
