Volunteer Cafe Assistant
Looking to develop hospitality skills? Or wanting to put yours to good use?
Adventist Retirement plus, a local Retirement Village, is looking for volunteers to assist for one or more days a week in their cafe in the Victoria Point. No experience is needed, successful volunteers will be given on the job training and support!
Volunteer/s hours are between 8.30am to 2pm (hours can be negotiated)
REQUIREMENTS
- applicants must be over 18 years
- keen to learn
- have a friendly disposition
- be confident talking to new people and happy to chat with elderly residents.
- observe workplace hygiene, occupational health and safety procedures.
- be prepared to obtain an up-to-date National Police Check
- must have both COVID-19 vaccinations (or prepared to get + provide certificate)
- current Flu Vaccination (or prepared to get + provide certificate)
DUTIES
- welcoming and serving customers
- taking orders
- making drinks, including making coffee and cold drinks
- clearing and cleaning tables
All volunteers are trained, supervised and supported.
*These is a Centrelink approved activity.
