Intake Officer- Full Time

STAR Community Services is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Intake Officer to join our team in Cleveland. The Intake Officer will provide high-level customer service and provide accurate and pro-active information, assistance and service to clients and their representatives, contractors and other external stakeholders as well as provide coordination and administrative support to STAR service delivery areas. The position holder will assist in the smooth delegation of daily client transactions across varying customer contact channels including phone, web and face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to the community by effectively managing complex client enquiries and service requests in a manner that is reflective of STAR  values of respect, dignity and empowerment.
  • Manage intake processes across all of STAR’s service delivery programs, providing administrative support that exercises the responsibility of judgement, confidentiality and sensitivity whilst collecting personal data and support the efficient use of resources to deliver a high-quality service in accordance with clearly established procedures and work instructions.
  • Perform initial client intake and subsequent data entry including client profiling within the MAC Portal and / or Client Management Systems, creating the initial contract and service agreement and quote.
  • Assist with MAC Service Reviews.
  • Work as a member of an integrated team, working across STAR’s service delivery areas and with external stakeholders to respond to client needs.
  • Provide accurate data entry utilising relevant computer systems and external client databases to register client information to ensure sector quality standards are maintained.
  • Promote and provide a holistic understanding of the services that STAR Community Services has to offer to empower clients to make an educated and informed decision based on their individual needs.
  • Take ownership and actively participate in performance coaching, career development and training sessions to support initiatives for personal and career development, actively maintain work productivity at all times.

Direct Support Worker- Casual

Domestic Assistant- casual

What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is to undertake a wide range of domestic tasks for individuals who choose to remain in the comfort and security of their own homes and to help them live as independent and active lives as possible by supporting them in an enablement focussed way.  The tasks you undertake will be agreed by the service user and the Care Coordinator once they have assessed the service user’s requirements.

Domestic Support Workers will be responsible for ensuring that service users homes are kept in a clean, hygienic and homely condition according to individual needs and wishes and in a manner that is reflective of STAR’s community Services’ values of respect, dignity and empowerment.

What the role involves (but not limited to):
General domestic cleaning and tidying
Provide sorting assistance to the “Assistance Care and Housing” program
Washing floors and other surfaces
Vacuuming and dusting
Emptying of domestic rubbish bins
Cleaning bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and hallways.
Changing bedding
Internet Shopping or Client Shopping (ONLY WHERE SPECIFIED)
Any reasonable task requested by the client or STAR Service Planning and Delivery team

Community Transport Scheduler- Full time

The Community Transport Scheduler will manage the scheduling requirements of the organisation, including the update of procedures according to Routematch changes, and change of transport requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily scheduling program, finalising the vehicle runs and Driver manifests for the following working day
  • Manage availability of drivers and vehicles for scheduling – involves working with the Head Scheduler and the Community Transport Manager to ensure knowledge of changes.
  • Manage late changes and emergency add-ins to daily schedules.
  • Manage printing and e-mailing of Drivers Manifests by end of day.
  • Monitor practicality of Routematch parameters in terms of allowing Drivers realistic times for pick-ups & drop-offs.
  • Delivery of pick-up times to Call Centre staff by 2pm daily.
  • Make recommendations to the Head Scheduler and the Community Transport Manager for Routematch changes.
  • Email the hospital runs to Matar, PA.
  • Other duties as agreed by both parties.

Maintenance Administration Support - Full Time

The Maintenance Administration Support will provide high level customer service, provide accurate and pro-active information, assistance and service to clients and their representatives, contractors and other external stakeholders as well as provide administrative support to STAR service delivery areas. The position holder will assist in the smooth delegation of daily client transactions across varying customer contact channels including phone, web and face-to-face. This position is a pivotal part of a successful client journey, every time.

Key responsibiliites. 

  • Provide customer service to the community by effectively managing less complex service user enquiries and service requests in a manner that is reflective of STAR’s community Services’ values of respect, dignity and empowerment.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support requiring a high degree of judgment, initiative, confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Provide accurate data entry utilising relevant computer systems to manage customer maintenance requests.
  • Primary contact for answering queries in relation to garden maintenance and domestic assistance, providing information and engaging with service users and their representatives, contractors and other service providers.
  • Raise and issue maintenance work orders for external contractors in response to client requests for service.
  • Liaise with internal and external staff and contractors on job queries and quotes
  • Onboard CHSP Domestic Assistance clients.
  • Liaise with clients on any changes to domestic services.
  • Monitor and maintain TRACCS and MAC portal to ensure client information is current and accurate.
  • Work as a member of an integrated team, working across STAR service delivery areas and with external stakeholders to respond to client needs
  • Take ownership and actively participate in performance coaching, career development and training sessions to support initiatives for personal and career development, actively maintain work productivity at all times.
  • Other duties and special projects as directed by management as required from time to time.
