Lockyer Region Volunteer Support

The Lockyer Region Volunteer Support will work alongside Staff and the STAR.  Volunteer Coordinator to help recruit and support volunteers for various positions in the Lockyer region. In a manner that is reflective of STAR Community Services’ values of respect, dignity and empowerment

Duties will vary. Tasks may include:
• Be the first point of contact for volunteers in the region
• Link with local organisations to promote and talk about the opportunities offered by STAR Community Services.
• Assist with interviews and volunteer inductions
• Help with volunteer training and presentations
• Give interested volunteers information on becoming a member of a volunteer team
• Booking interviews for new volunteers
Ensure volunteers have attended the training and all required qualifications are current before starting their shift.
