Retail Volunteers needed for The Button Jar Collective!

The Button Jar Collective, an initiative of The Cage Youth Foundation is seeking volunteers for their pre-loved boutique.

The Button Jar is a social enterprise initiative, launched with the assistance of Redlands Foundation grant funding. The income generated from The Button Jar is cycled back into The Cage's programs and services.

Use your sales and customer service skills to sell vintage items including clothing, shoes and jewellery, plus candles, local homewares, etc, and to support the community at the same time.

Volunteers tasks include:

  • greeting and serving customers
  • shop front retail
  • sorting of goods
  • using loyverse sales entry

This is a great role for a self-starter, someone willing to use their initiative.

Volunteers will need to be available at least one day per week between Monday and Thursday from 9am to 2pm.

Successful volunteers will need to have or obtain:

  • a Blue Card
  • a National Police Check
  • a Driver's Licence

The Cage will assist volunteers to get a Blue Card.

This is an ongoing role - volunteers will be supported and upskilled to ensure that they are comfortable and equipped to carry out the role.

Interested? Please complete our online registration form and email Volunteering Redlands with your resume or brief outline of your work/life experience, plus contact details for two referees.

The Cage Youth Foundation are also seeking Volunteer Coffee Shop Assistants for Ziggy's Coffee Shop.
